Kevin Hern has been associated with Riemer & Braunstein LLP since 1987. He was a senior partner for over nine years, and he now serves as counsel to the firm. Kevin's practice at the firm is most particularly focused on employment law consulting and litigation, although he has had considerable experience as well in general business litigation, corporate finance, construction law and litigation, real estate litigation, general corporate work, business transactions, and handling of stockholder trust and partnership disputes. Kevin has been an integral part of the firm's employment law practice for seventeen years and has extensive experience addressing a wide variety of employment and employee benefit issues. He has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases in state and federal courts, as well as before a variety of agencies and in arbitration tribunals, and he has handled appeals in state and federal appellate courts. Kevin has also authored a number of practice related articles and has spoken frequently on employment law topics of significance to businesses.

  • Represented general contractors and developers relative to construction contracts and disputes, negotiations, and ongoing construction projects, including a multimillion dollar Rt. 128 mixed-use development in Massachusetts
  • Negotiated, drafted, and closed asset and stock purchase agreements, severance agreements, sales contracts, and other business agreements
  • Represented businesses in trade secret, noncompete, and unfair trade practice cases
