Chris practices in the area of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and workout, primarily representing banks and other creditors in Illinois, Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia. Prior to joining the firm, Chris practiced law in Chicago and Washington, D.C. where he represented parties in the areas of business litigation and bankruptcy related litigation which included representing creditors in bankruptcy cases and bankruptcy trustees and prosecuting and defending preference and fraudulent conveyance actions.
Chris has appeared before the various State courts in Illinois including the Circuit courts in Cook, DuPage, Kane, and Lake Counties. In addition, he has appeared before the District and Bankruptcy courts for the Northern District of Illinois, as well as the District and Bankruptcy courts for Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, and Maryland. Chris has also appeared before bankruptcy courts in New York, Connecticut, and other states on a case-by-case basis.

- Represent secured creditor owed $35 million from Chapter 11 debtor
- Represent creditor holding claims against Chapter 11 debtor under trust indenture
- Represent bank in fraudulent conveyance litigation arising out of New York bankruptcy case
- Represent secured lender in consignment dispute with jewelry supplier in Chapter 11 bankruptcy case
- Represent secured lenders in bankruptcy case involving disputes over auction procedures, break up fees, use of cash collateral, and period of exclusivity
- Represent purchaser of servicing rights of $67 million loan portfolio in commercial foreclosure of property in Illinois
- Represented various creditors in post-judgment asset examination and collection
- Represented national food retailer in their recovery of funds stolen by former bookkeeper
- Represented businesses in litigation over non-compete agreements with former employee
- Represented Chapter 7 trustees in objections to discharge, preference, and fraudulent conveyance actions
- Represented bankruptcy estate in sale of estate assets under Section 363 of the bankruptcy code
