John represents commercial banks and other lending institutions in secured and unsecured financing transactions. John’s lending experience involves both single lender and multi-lender financings. John also represents finance companies in capital raising activities and loan originations. John was previously a partner with Battle Fowler LLP in New York City and Senior Vice President, General Counsel of Litchfield Financial Corporation in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Counsel to the Agents in connection with the $2 billion acquisition and working captial financing of a leveraged buyout of an international retailer
Representation of the Agent/junior lender in a multi-lender financing of a regional retail furniture chain;
Representation of the Agent/senior lender in a multi-lender financing of a Canadian national retail apparel chain;
Representation of the Agent/senior lender in a multi-lender financing of a national retail jewelry chain;
Representation of a large regional retail apparel chain in the sale of the company pursuant to a Section 363 sale in bankruptcy proceedings;
Representation of a specialty finance company in the establishment of a asset-backed commercial paper facility;
Representation of a specialty finance company in the establishment of a special purpose loan warehousing trust;
Representation of not-for-profit entities (colleges, museums, and hospitals) in tax-exempt financings with the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority.
