Joan focuses her practice on banking and corporate finance as well as real estate. Her experience includes the representation of financial institutions in large, multi-lender transactions and in real estate financings, with particular emphasis on the construction and development of regional shopping centers and office buildings.

Joan became President of New England Women in Real Estate (NEWiRE) on June 15, 2010. NEWiRE is the region's leading professional organization for women in the commercial real estate industry. Established in 1982, NEWiRE provides a forum for professional development and networking to its approximately 400 members.

Representative Transactions

• $46 million multi-lender loan for the construction of a regional shopping center
• $35 million multi-lender loan involving the construction of a first-class office building in a major regional office park
• $34 million multi-lender loan for the expansion and repositioning of a regional shopping center
• $60 million construction loan for a first-class residential, commercial and recreational development
