About Jana

Jana focuses her practice on complex real estate and finance transactions involving federal, state, and local development incentives. She has significant experience in transactions utilizing New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), where she has represented community development entities, investors, and qualified active low-income community businesses. Her work also includes a wide range of real estate finance and secured transactions, including Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing and historic tax credit transactions.

Jana regularly drafts and negotiates key transaction documents, prepares state-law and tax credit program opinions, and coordinates closings for multi-party, multi-lender deals. She takes pride in helping clients structure creative financing solutions that bring transformative projects to communities.

Before entering private practice, Jana served in the U.S. Army, an experience that instilled in her discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex matters under pressure. She finds her work especially rewarding when she sees projects completed and communities revitalized through new development.
