About Steven
Steven is a senior partner in the firm’s Commercial Finance practice area. His areas of concentration include asset-based lending, leveraged finance, cash flow lending and creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, and business reorganization matters for local, regional, and national clients. His practice includes representation of secured lenders, debtors, and official and unofficial committees in bankruptcy courts throughout the United States, as well as mergers and acquisitions of distressed enterprises and related contract negotiations.
Steven has served as lead counsel to secured lenders in structuring, restructuring, and documenting their loan arrangements, advising secured lenders in complex workout matters, including debtor-in-possession and cash collateral facilities, as well as representing debtors, official and unofficial creditors’ and equity committees, and other significant parties in national Chapter 11 cases across a diverse cross section of industries, including retail, real estate, airline, manufacturing, and leisure, among others. He also has performed transactional work in numerous cases with sellers, purchasers, lenders and secured and unsecured creditors of financially troubled companies, in both non-judicial restructurings and in chapter 11 reorganizations.
