Paul practices in the areas of corporate finance, business, and real estate law, and has extensive experience in problem loan resolution and debt restructuring on both a national and regional level. He concentrates on representing lenders in financing transactions and regularly handles a wide range of lending transactions for institutional clients. Paul has represented the agent and letter of credit issuer in multi-lender project finance, bond finance, retail finance, and real estate transactions on both a regional and national basis.

Representative Transactions

  • Represented agent and issuer of $125 million letter of credit facility in connection with the issuance of taxable and tax exempt series Housing Revenue Bonds by the New York State Housing Finance Agency for the construction of a mixed use rental facility in New York City
  • $225 million multi-lender loan involving the restructuring of a real estate holding company with a portfolio of approximately 250 properties
  • $335 million multi-lender loan providing working capital financing to an international sporting goods retail chain
  • Represented agent in subscription secured financing for a real estate investment fund
  • Represented agent in working capital and term credit facilities for a national REIT
  • $53 million multi-lender loan involving the construction of a luxury apartment complex in the Boston area
  • $90 million multi-lender loan involving the construction of a 400,000 square foot, 16-story office building in Virginia
  • $25 million loan providing financing to a national shoe manufacturer
